new zine in the archive, from our wonderful friend charlotte cooper
Charlotte says “I have published a new story zine called Play. It’s a collection of home-made games that I have either invented, co-created, or adapted. It’s silly and serious. Readers have described this zine as “MOST INCREDIBLE” and “really brilliant”

Women & Performance: a journal of feminist theory
This year we are really chuffed to have a subscription to Women & Performance – our first issue was the special issue on Born In Flames, and the one just through the door is: Precarious Situations: Race, Gender, Globality. More info about the journal on their website (which also includes some content from past issues), and details on how to submit to future issues – both for specific issues and general submission guidelines: “The Editorial Collective of Women & Performance invites submissions of scholarly essays on performance, visual and sound art, theater, dance, ritual, political manifestations, film, new media, and the performance of everyday life from interdisciplinary feminist perspectives. We also welcome performative texts; interviews; book, performance and film reviews; and photo essays and images that advance critical dialogues on gender and performance. Women & Performance accepts proposals for themed issues from guest editors. We publish scholarship that is interdisciplinary and provocative in method and form.”
and you can follow them on Facebook too
Thank you Melanie Maddison for sending us issues 4 and 5 of Shape & Situate: posters of inspirational european women:
“Shape & Situate is a zine of posters made by artists and DIY creative folk from within Europe, each poster highlighting the (often hidden) history and lives of radical inspirational women and collectives from Europe. The zine aims to activate feminist cultural memory, inspire, and to visually bring women’s social and political history to life and into view.”
